Allsop releases May residential auction catalogue




Allsop’s residential auction on the 31st May will see more than 300 lots auctioned at The Cumberland Hotel, London. The catalogue, which is now live, features 30 high-value lots, guided at £1m+.

This includes a broad range of investments, from lot 225, a six-bedroom Grade II listed country house with stables, on the edge of the Surrey Hills, guided at £2.6m – £2.8m, to lot 208, a unique development opportunity in Stanmore. Spanning almost two acres, the site, which adjoins the former Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, comes with planning consent for a three-storey Hollywood mansion-sized house of more than 18,000 sq ft.

May’s auction will also offer six lots with permitted development, including the highest value lot in the catalogue. Lot 73, guided at £4.5m+, is a detached two-storey office building spanning 37,793 sq ft in Aylesbury and has consent to provide 89 self-contained flats.
Also, at this month’s auction, Allsop will offer a portfolio of 48 sites located across the UK on behalf of The Co-operative Bank. The sites are to be offered as a single lot (151) with no reserve. Outside of the south east, lot 218, a detached building comprising 36 flats and currently generating £234,900pa in Wellingborough, is guided at £4.1m+. The same vendor is also selling a freehold building of ten apartments in Leicestershire. Guided at £1.5m+, lot 143 currently generates £90,540pa.

A significant number of attractive residential buildings in prime locations will also be offered on the auction day, including lot 62, a stunning four-bedroom end of terrace house in sought-after Chelsea. The property has recently been refurbished throughout and is guided at £4m+. Lot 49, a four-bedroom semi-detached property in Twickenham is being sold by the RFU and is guided at £525,000+.
